Hi there, lovely human.

My name is Susan, and I am the artist behind The Oy in Poodle Shoppe.

I have always loved to sketch, draw, and create.

I went to school...to pursue advertising and writing. (Didn't think I was going there, did you?)

It wasn't until 20 years later that I came back art. 

I started my Etsy shoppe in 2016 and began studies at the Rhode Island School of Design in 2021. 

I am inspired by fashion, by what creates moments of happiness, and by whatever is niggling me. 

While I would love to live in a bubble of fashion, books, cats, and funny quotes, I realize the world has its troubles. The way I work through these troubles (and that I hope I can help you through these troubles) is by finding the ironic, the absurd--and ultimately--the way to smile about those troubles.
